All I ever wanted was to find purpose in my pain, and now I get it. For decades, I was just going through the motions of life totally disconnected from my body – and I definitely didn’t love myself. This chronic pain journey woke me up and brought me back home to uncover the most authentic parts of my being – on a soul level. I had no idea just how powerful things like journaling, meditation, and movement were to connect with myself and heal my past traumas.
I’ve also started to recognize how powerful being vulnerable and sharing our stories can be for others. We are so fortunate to get to witness this in people’s responses after seeing LOVE HEALS. Maybe for the first time, they feel understood as they see themselves in the stories of pain and healing. Sometimes, just knowing that we are not alone is healing in and of itself.
Building this beautiful LOVE HEALS community means the world to me and I have so much gratitude for all that I’ve gone through to get here. Like I said in the film, I thought my life ended when the pain started, but that’s actually when my life began.
